Microsoft just gave web browsing a major AI upgrade with the new Copilot Mode, and it feels like the future of the browser is finally here. Instead of bouncing between search results, tabs, and chatbots, Copilot blends everything into one smart experience.
One of the coolest features is how Copilot decides whether your question needs a traditional search or a full AI conversation. It can instantly switch between quick web results and deeper explanations depending on what you ask.
The real magic happens in the sidebar. Copilot understands the page you’re viewing and can summarize articles, explain content, and even compare products across multiple open tabs. Shopping for tech? Copilot creates side-by-side comparison tables, analyzes user reviews, and highlights the best value products in seconds.
Video support is impressive too. On YouTube, Copilot can summarize videos and even break down viewer comments to surface common feedback and insights.
Then there’s Copilot Voice and Vision, which let you talk naturally with the browser while Copilot visually understands what’s on your screen. This feels less like a browser feature and more like having a real AI assistant built directly into the web. Check out my tutorial below to learn how this all works. 😎
